Profile No. 1 – Connie Bell (Junior)

How long have you been playing: 5 years

What position do you prefer to play: Pointer

What is you greatest moment in boule: My greatest moment was playing against France in the World Championships last year.

What player has inspired you the most: Claire White has inspired me most, as she is a great player, a lovely person, and has supported me so much through everyone of my achievements.

Have you played in the inter-regionals before (if yes – what was the experience like for you) (if no – what are you looking forward to about it): Yes, I’ve played in the inter-regionals for 3 years in the Junior competition, but in 2014, I am playing in the Seniors as it is a good opportunity to play against some good adults. In the Juniors it was great fun playing against all my friends that iI had met previous years and that made the experience absolutley great.

What would you like to achieve in 2015: I would love to be able to continue having my love for boule and hopefully keep playing in all of the competitions. But most of all to get the chance to represent England at the Junior World Championships.

How long have you been playing: 5 years.

What position do you prefer to play: Shooter.

What is you greatest moment in boule: Being selected for the England Junior squad at the age of 11.

What player has inspired you the most: Tony Moulding.

Have you played in the inter-regionals before (if yes – what was the experience like for you) (if no – what are you looking forward to about it): Yes, I played in 2013 and assisted the East Midlands junior squad to their highest ever finish (2nd).

What would you like to achieve in 2015: To represent England in a competition.

 

 

Profile No. 3 - Vikki Amphlett (Junior)

Name: Vikki Amphlett.

Age: 17.

Region: Chiltern.

How long have you been playing: Started when I was about 9/10 but started playing seriously last year.

What position do you prefer to play: Middle or point

What is you greatest moment in boule: Had so many its hard to decide. Being selected to go to Slovakia in august, qualifying for the Home Nations, being selected for the regional team and winning the Mixed Triples competition at the Bird in Hand.

What player has inspired you the most: That’s quite a hard question. Toni Gates has helped me alot over the past few years and I’m very grateful. I think alot of people have inspired me not to give up by showing me what hard work and dedication can do – a lot of people in Chiltern Region.

Have you played in the inter-regionals before: Yes. I loved it. I loved talking to all of the other regions, I made so many new friends and can’t wait to see them all again!

What would you like to achieve in 2015: Play internationally.

What is your greatest moment in boule: Playing in the 2013 Junior World Championships.

What player has inspired you the most: Dylan Rocher.

Have you played in the inter-regionals before: Yes I have – it’s a enjoyable, and socialable gathering yet very competitive and challenging.

What would you like to achieve in 2015: I would like to achieve my coaching badge to help out the juniors starting from next year.
